LMIAGPTL
Welcome
Welcome to the Lower Makefield is a Great Place to Live website, an extension of resources of the LMIAGPTL Facebook group. During the group's 12 year existence, membership has grown to 11k members, and the group serves as an online gathering spot for residents, local leaders, businesses, people in need and volunteers, where people turn to get news, info, and referrals.
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the 12th birthday of the LMIAGPTL community Facebook group, we’re birthing something new: an Instagram, Storyboard of Yardley and LMT. In a Humans of New York-esque fashion, Storyboard will feature untold stories and artistic expressions of people in our community: Life lessons, unique perspectives, interesting job tales, comedic encounters, aha moments, pearls of wisdom, hardships overcome. Our first story focuses on Fiona and Michaela Havlish, and their lives after losing their beloved father and husband Don Havlish on September 11th, 2001. You can find full list of stories here. To be featured or submit your story or an idea for one, email lmtisagreattplace@gmail.com.
The Coronavirus Links and Resources page is the result of participation in the group by members and administrators. This website culls resources and info available in our area during the pandemic, from local official and credible sources and organizations.
Support Local Businesses provides links to the Bucks County Economics Resources Portal, as well as LMIAGPTL's sibling group, Lower Makefield Businesses and the People Who Love Them.
